ECOVEGETAL PERMEABLE CAR PARKS

In order to comply with new environmental regulations, adding grass to a small area on the edge of a car park is no longer sufficient. A car park is more than just a question of paving and design. It is the opportunity to create a green, permeable and sustainable system that meets eco-friendly construction requirements and integrates more easily into urban planning.

A permeable car park also contributes significantly to water management. Permeable soil in a car park helps filter and infiltrate rainwater deep into the soil. There is zero runoff and the risk of flooding and contamination of water tables and streams is reduced, or even eliminated. The benefits are many. In addition, a permeable surface can provide resistance to heavy weather events, while a conventional concrete mix does not.

When you prioritise permeability, the benefits quickly outweigh those of a conventional asphalt mix (and without the added burden of pouring). A green cark park brings sustainable vegetation back into the urban environment and encourages the return of biodiversity threatened by artificialisation of soils.

Choosing a permeable ECOVEGETAL system

  • ECOVEGETAL GREEN : immediate results with pre-grown slabs, moderate use. Aesthetically pleasing grass parking area, can be used for fire lanes.
  • ECOVEGETAL MOSS : very resistant extensive vegetation for heavy-duty use. These plants require very little maintenance.
  • ECOVEGETAL MINERAL : mineral top layer, filtering and completely stabilised soils, requiring very little maintenance.
  • ECOVEGETAL PAVERS : paving stones that infiltrate 100% of rainwater, adapted for heavy-duty use or fine lanes.
  • CONCRETE CAR PARKS : combination of openwork paving with a vegetated or mineral system. The result is a draining car park, which infiltrates rainwater and stands the test of time with very little maintenance.
